Welcome! I am an Assistant Professor at the Department of Computer Science & Information Systems, Birla Institute of Technology & Science, Pilani (BITS Pilani), India since March 2026. I am a Director of the upcoming Safe & Trusted AI group where I will co-lead a research line on Human-Centered AI and Trustworthy AI.
Prior to this role, I was a postdoc researcher at University of Amsterdam & TU Delft working with Prof. Maarten de Rijke and with Dr. Roel Dobbe. Also, I spent a year working with Prof. Ben Crum at AI & Digital Governance lab at VU Amsterdam as a postdoc fellow. I completed my PhD from the Interactive Intelligence group, at Delft University of Technology (TU Delft), the Netherlands, working with my advisor Dr. Myrthe Tielman and promotor Prof. Catholijn Jonker. In past, I have worked as a research intern in industry settings for Google, Siemens Research, Mazda and Gro.

My research advances the design and evaluation of human-centered AI systems, with a focus on computational approaches that meaningfully augment human experience, embed human values into AI behavior, promote equitable access, and support appropriate trust in AI-assisted decision-making.
My research were generously supported by University of Amsterdam Fund, TAILOR Connectivity Fund, Dr. Jost Henkel Stiftung Scholarship from Henkel and Deutschlandstipendium from RWTH Education fund.
